An intersectional approach to equity - for practitioners.
Dr. Jennifer Ward is an author, speaker, and interdisciplinary scholar.
Dr. Jennifer Ward
is passionate about practical, evidence-based approaches to equity in action that will change the way you think, the way you work, and the way you live.
This work is for everyone.
We have the same goal.
Nonprofits, educational institutions, and community service providers aim to teach, serve and lead people in the community. And our community is increasingly complex. The research is clear: inequities exist in our systems and structures that create poorer health outcomes, wide academic achievement gaps, and disparities in overall wellness.
My training programs
Seminars and workshops facilitate a deep dive into how inequity appears in our environment - and in the lives of those we serve. We then work to identify action steps to use our sphere of influence to make our programs, services, and businesses more impactful.
There are many ways to learn.
-
Seminars
One-time seminars - offered in-person, or virtually - can be tailored to your organization's needs. Topics include health equity, organizational equity, intercultural competence, and practical, evidence-base solutions for reducing our bias as practitioners.
-
Intercultural Development Assessments
As a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory, this assessment is designed to measure individual and group perspectives toward difference and provides an action oriented plan to improve intercultural competency through targeted coaching.
-
Intercultural Development Coaching
Coaching following the Intercultural Development inventory assessment guides individuals or groups to intentionally increase their awareness of what it means to be - and act in a way that is - interculturally competent.

Training and human resources professional
It was a pleasure to have Jennifer as an instructor. It was clear that she more than enough experience and knowledge in the field. Her way of teaching, preparation, and interaction with the class made me look forward to going to the class everyday. She motivated me to put in my best effort in coursework and expanding my knowledge on diversity issues based on her ability to connect and teach passionately with integrity.
